FUJINOSONO

Cordial Invitation

Concert announcement and report on the "Children's Home Japan" benefit campaign on November 9, 2018

After the last benefit concert on October 29, 2016 in Reichelsdorf for the children's home in Ichinoseki in the north of Fukushima, the seventh delivery of food was launched: canned fruit, canned vegetables and pasta.

In the time before Christmas, there were also advent calendars in the delivery. They do not exist in Japan, but the children and adolescents in the children’s home know Christmas, because the home is run by a Catholic Sister. Incidentally, this is not an isolated case: Although only about 1% of the population in Japan is Christian, Christian education is highly regarded in children's homes and schools.

The children's joy about the gifts and our visit was indescribable. I was able to convince myself of this with my Japanese concert partner (transverse flute). Everyone enjoyed making music together with the children.

The concert on Friday, November 9, 2018 - from 7:30 p.m. in the parish hall of the parish Heilige Familie, Eichstätter Platz 3 - together with your donations, will help to be able to send the eighth food delivery soon

The concert is shaped by students in my piano class, partially reinforced by other instruments. "Children and young people play for children" could be the motto. Most of them are award winners of national and international competitions.

The young artists and I would be very happy to welcome you at this evening in order to make children in Japan happy with your help. The children's home was destroyed in the great earthquake in 2011 and had to be rebuilt; Even today, some children are traumatized by these terrible events. Our support should show them what solidarity and charity can do.

Spread Joy...

Stay in Ichinoseki

A highlight of my stay in Japan this year was in addition to the concert on November 7th in Kyoto, certainly a visit to the Fujinosono children's home in Ichinoseki, north of Fukushima. Mika and I, we arranged a musical afternoon with the children on November 12th.

To feel the enthusiasm and joy of the children was a delightful and enriching experience for us. It showed me that supporting these children makes sense.

The next benefit concert for this project will take place on June 2, 2018 at 8 p.m. in the Falkenstein Fine Art gallery in Kampen on Sylt.
Performers: Mika Enjo, transverse flute, Nannette - Christine Goletzko, piano.
From the earnings of this concert, the eighth delivery of food to the children's home is now on the way.

In this way, many thanks again to everyone who supports this project!

Visit to Sister Celina

Ichinoseki in northern Japan

During my visit in November 2016, I was able to convince myself how much Sister Celina, her staff and, above all, the children were looking forward to the next food delivery. The region is still shaken by strong earthquakes, so that Sister Celina primarily wanted food for emergencies. That is, Canned fruit and vegetables and also pasta (pasta). It made me happy to see how gratefully and positively our support is accepted.

Shopping for the sixth Food Delivery

Ichinoseki

At the request of Sister Celina, many food items were purchased (canned fruit and vegetables) for the meanwhile sixth delivery of food to the children's home of Sister Celina Mauer in Ichinoseki (Japan). The delivery of the purchased food will be done by DHL in mid/end of November 2015. At this point I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my students, who made it possible to buy and send the necessary food because of all the organized concerts. Likewise, my thanks goes to DHL (represented by Mr. Oliver Darr), who delivered the food safely and reliably to Ichinoseki.

In the meantime, the sixth delivery of food arrived in December 2015 and was accepted with great joy and enthusiasm. The seventh delivery is scheduled for November 2016. In order to guarantee the arrival of the groceries, there will again be a benefit concert on October 29th at 5:00 pm in the “Heilige Familie” Catholic community in Reichelsdorf.
